Edgewood is motivating residents to get a little healthier this year.
Chamber Director Elise Bergan says the community is hosting the “Biggest Loser Competition”.
Anyone – from any town, not just Edgewood – can participate. The cost to enter is $35. Weigh-ins will take place Friday night and Saturday morning at the Ed-Co Weight Room. Participants will have until May 1st to try to lose as many pounds as they can, with the final weight-out held at that time.
The winners will share part of the pot – with 40% going to 1st place, 15% to 2nd place and 5% to 3rd place. The rest of the proceeds go to the Viking Loop Trail project.
This isn’t the first time Edgewood has hosted a “Biggest Loser Competition”. The Little Vikes Wrestling Club used to hold this as a fundraiser and Bergan says after taking a break for a couple years, they thought it would be fun to bring back.
If you have any questions or would like to set up a time to weigh-in next week instead, contact Elise at the Edgewood Chamber at 928-7036.
