Officials Monitoring Potential Threats at Iowa Capitol

Local, state and federal law enforcement officials say they are monitoring potential threats in Iowa leading up to inauguration day tomorrow. Following the violence at the U.S. Capitol, the FBI has warned of plans for armed protests at all 50 state capitols. Iowa Department of Public Safety Commissioner Stephan Bayens:

Bayens says more officers are patrolling the statehouse as a precaution.

State Representative Lee Hein of Monticello told us last week there has been a huge presence of Iowa State Patrol troopers at the state capitol.
