The Delaware County Cattlemen will be holding their annual Beef Banquet this Saturday night – but in a different way.
Board Secretary Sarah Maurer says they’re calling it a “cattle drive” and offering steak dinners drive-thru style at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion.
And you’ll still have a chance to win a prize and watch the crowning of new royalty too.
Though the Delaware County Cattlemen still opened their Steer-n-Stein at the Delaware County Fair last summer, they weren’t able to do nearly as many events as they usually do throughout the year due to COVID – so Maurer says they’re looking forward to getting back out there again this year.
If you’d like to support the Delaware County Cattlemen and purchase tickets for Saturday night’s Beef Banquet, they cost $20 and are available at Carl’s Feed, Farm Credit Services of America and all Manchester banks, as well as Fidelity Bank & Trust in Dyersville, Community Savings Bank in Edgewood and River Valley Coop in Ryan. Or you can contact any Delaware County Cattlemen board member or call Jeni Ries at 920-2044. A limited number of tickets will be available at the gate.
