HS SPORTS: Basketball Results from Thursday 1-28, Friday 1-29 Preview

A few Boys Basketball games took place in the coverage area last night:

Beckman clipped Alburnett 49-48

Monticello got by Mid-Prairie 48-29

East Buchanan topped Clarksville 69-30

Tonight a full slate will take place with our featured games inside Seedorff Gymnasium as West Delaware hosts Mount Vernon in WaMaC East Division play. The girl/boy varsity doubleheader will begin at 6:00pm with right here on Mix 94.7 and the KMCH Sports Live Video Stream at kmch.com. Bill Logan and Roger Wright will have the girls contest then Bill will join Jon Swisher for the boys game.

Elsewhere in the WaMaC, the Independence Girls will play at Vinton-Shellsburg while the Indee boys will welcome in the Vikings.

In the MVC, the Western Dubuque Bobcat Girls will entertain Dubuque Wahlert while the Bobcat Boys will travel to Wahlert.

In the RVC, the Cascade Girls and Boys will be home to North Cedar. On the Boys side, Anamosa will face Monticello at home.

And in the TRC, East Buchanan is at North Linn, Starmont is home versus Springville, Maquoketa Valley heads to Alburnett and Ed-Co is on the road in Central City.

The West Delaware Girls and Boys Bowling teams will be back in action in a make-up meet at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center facing Marion starting at 3:45pm this afternoon. The Hawk girls enter the day with a 13-6 overall mark and 8-5 in the WaMaC while the WD Boys are 14-6 and 10-4.
