Delaware County’s number of active COVID-19 cases is down this week, along with the county’s positivity rate.
Delaware County Public Health reported on Monday morning that the county has 175 active cases (four less than a week ago) and a positivity rate of 9.8% (down 2.1% since last Monday).
According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, twenty-seven new cases were reported in Delaware County this past week, bringing the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic to 1,791.
One new death has been reported in Delaware County due to COVID-19, bringing the total to 37 deaths. Three residents are currently hospitalized.
Around 1,600 Delaware County residents have recovered from the virus.
Over 1,300 Delaware County residents have been vaccinated.
