Manchester’s Mobile Food Pantry has been postponed until next week.
The mobile food pantry usually comes to town the first Thursday of the month, but due to winter storm predicted for Thursday, it’s been pushed back until next Thursday, February 11th, with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank trucks expected to arrive around 4 pm.
Organizers say the Mobile Food Pantry will be exactly like the January event. Anyone who needs food can go to the Don & Walt’s parking lot on the east end of Manchester. Vehicles will be lined up in the parking lot as they arrive and then drive across the street a few at a time to get registered and get the food loaded into your vehicle.
Each vehicle can only receive food (with a signed note) for one additional absent person.
