Area meetings today…
The Delaware County Board of Supervisors will meet at 1:15 pm at the courthouse. The Board will hear a presentation and project update from Midwest Construction Consultants on the jail and Sheriff’s Office project.
The Manchester City Council meets at 5 pm tonight at the City Council Chambers, which will be closed to the public due to COVID – the public can participate via Zoom or phone. Tonight, the Council will hear a presentation from HomeServe about offering a Service Line Warranty Program for residents. The Council will also hear a request from Riverbend Pub & Grill to construct a covered deck on their south patio/porch area. Riverbend is also requesting permission to block off a portion of South Franklin Street and East Delaware Street for a benefit ride on Saturday afternoon, July 10th. And the Council will hear from City Parks & Rec Director Doug Foley about the Tirrill Park Pickleball and Tennis Court Project.
Also tonight, the West Delaware School Board meets at 6 pm in the Lambert Commons. The meeting will also be livestreamed on West Delaware’s Facebook page. A public hearing will be held on next year’s school calendar. Several early retirements also up for approval and the school board will consider proposed improvements to the old bus barn.
The Cascade City Council meets at 6 pm at City Hall – the public can watch on the local access channel or the city’s website or participate via phone.
And the Edgewood City Council is meeting at 7 pm tonight in the Edgewood Community Room, with a public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2022 Proposed Property Tax Levy. They’ll also discuss the parade route and street closures for Edgewood Pro-Rodeo Days.
