Delaware County has seen a slight increase in the number of active COVID-19 cases this past week.
Delaware County Public Health announced Monday that there are currently 152 active cases – that’s five more cases than a week ago.
The county’s positivity rate is currently at 4.3% – down 3.7% since last Monday.
Delaware County has reported 1,884 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. Thirty-nine residents have died due to the virus. There are currently no hospitalizations in the county.
And since we are seeing a downward trend of positive cases and the focus is turning more towards vaccinating our community, Delaware County Public Health will now discontinue providing weekly data updates. You can find the same data on the state’s coronavirus website, along with vaccination statistics.
Over 1,300 Delaware County residents have received their first COVID-19 vaccine dose, with nearly 800 residents completing their two-dose series.
