With spring coming up, now is the time to start thinking about planting trees.
The Delaware Soil and Water Conservation District is holding their annual tree sale and Chris Hiher says they’ve got a wide variety of trees available.
Hiher says it’s important to think about where to plant a tree.
And trees planted in windbreaks can make a huge impact.
And there are cost-sharing programs available for windbreaks and large plantings as well.
If you’d like to order trees through the Delaware Soil and Water Conservation District tree sale, contact their office for an order form at 927-4590 extension 3. The deadline to order is this Friday, February 26th. The trees come from Minnesota and should be available to pick up in mid-April at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester.
