Dubuque County’s mask mandate will stay in effect for a few more months.
On Friday, the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to extend the county-wide mask mandate, which was set to expire today.
The mandate will now stay in place until June 15th or until those who are eligible and want to receive their COVID-19 vaccines in Phase 1B do so.
The mandate says everyone three years old and older in Dubuque County must wear a face covering at indoor public places and outside when it’s not possible to stay six feet apart.
It also states businesses must post signage outside notifying people of the mandate and must have available masks to offer to customers who come in without one.
