Wersinger Named Edgewood Pro-Rodeo Days Grand Marshal

Edgewood is planning to bring back their annual Pro-Rodeo Days celebration this summer – and they’ve announced their Grand Marshal for the event.

Denise Wersinger, also known as Aunt Necee, will serve as the 2021 Edgewood Pro-Rodeo Days Parade Grand Marshal.

Wersinger grew up in Edgewood, graduating from Ed-Co in 1977. In 2000, she bought Edgewood’s American Legion building and opened Aunt Necee’s Pizza and More – providing dine-in, carryout and pizza delivery to surrounding towns. Wersinger is also known for volunteering in the community and supporting many local groups and school activities – even sponsoring the Reading and Books Program, in which students get a free personal pizza for reading books.

Wersinger will be honored in the 33rd Annual Edgewood Pro-Rodeo Days Parade, which is set for June 26th.
