Delaware County Public Health says they continue to receive only 200 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine each week.
The doses, which come from the Iowa Department of Public Health, are split among Public Health, Regional Medical Center and Regional Family Health.
With these limited 200 Moderna doses, they are vaccinating those 65 and older, those covered in Tiers 1 and 2, and those 64 and younger with certain medical conditions.
And because of the limited supply, they strongly encourage you to look for alternate options for the COVID-19 vaccine, including at clinics in surrounding counties.
Brehme Drug in Manchester has also started a waiting list that’s open to the general public – you can get signed up at brehmedrug.com – and the vaccine has also been available through HyVee, Walgreens and CVS. You can also check the Vaccinate Iowa website at vaccinate.iowa.gov to find vaccine providers.
And if your name was on the waiting list in Delaware County, but you’ve already received your vaccine somewhere else, Public Health is asking that you remove your name from their waiting list – you can do that by filling out the form at regmedctr.org/removeme or by calling 927-7600.
