Meals on Wheels will get back to delivering hot meals in a few weeks.
For the past year during the pandemic, the program run by Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging, has been offering weekly frozen meals to homebound residents across eighteen counties – but Colleen Lawler says they’ll be getting back to their normal routine this summer.
And with the return of delivering daily hot meals, Meals on Wheels needs more volunteers to help make that happen – especially in Manchester and Dyersville.
Dyersville Mayor Jim Heavens lent a hand earlier this week, helping deliver meals. If you’d like more information on volunteering with Meals for Wheels, you can call Colleen at 563-380-3239.
