Severe storms are likely tonight and into the overnight hours.
The Storm Prediction Center has northeast Iowa under a Level 3 Enhanced Risk for severe weather later today, with storms expected to move into the area roughly between 9 pm and 4 am. Meteorologist Kaj O’Mara, with our weather partners at KCRG-TV9, says a cold front is hitting the state as highs reach into the mid-90’s today.
If hail does develop, it could be on the larger side. And O’Mara says heavy rainfall is likely with those storms tonight too.
He’s encouraging everyone to stay alert of the weather tonight into the overnight hours.
Have your weather radio handy while you sleep and tune into Mix 94.7 KMCH tonight – we’ll alert you of any watches and warnings and will be here with live severe weather coverage if warranted.
