Linn County Fair Kicks Off Today

The Linn County Fair kicks off today in Central City.

After holding a virtual fair last year due to COVID, Co-President and Marketing Manager Heidi Steffen says they’re excited to get back to normal. And it all starts today with a free day at the fair.

Steffen says the Linn County Fair is holding several fun free contests, including cookie stacking, stroller racing and bale stacking. And all the 4-H and FFA judging and shows are back in-person this year too.

And she says there will be plenty of action in the grandstands at the Linn County Fair, beginning on Thursday night.

For more information on this year’s Linn County Fair, go online to thelinncountyfair.com. KMCH’s Justin Roberts will be visiting with the Linn County Fair’s 4-H and FFA purple ribbon winners all week – tune in for those “Meet the Champions” interviews throughout the week on KMCH or check them out online at kmch.com. And Mike Johnson and Justin Roberts will be broadcasting live from the fair this Friday from 1 to 3 pm on Mix 94.7 KMCH.
