In High School Baseball last night, the West Delaware Hawks improved their non-conference record to 3-6 and overall mark to 8-13 with a 17-7 win over Monticello. Sophomore Payton Aldrich picked up his 3rd win on the season as he allowed 11 hits, struck out 5, stranded 7 Panther runners and only walked two. The Hawks offense tallied 17 hits and took 6 free passes. Monti dropped to 2-2 non-conference and 10-10 overall. WD returns to play later today when they travel to Tiffin, facing WaMaC conference foe Clear Creek-Amana in a doubleheader starting at 5pm.

Anamosa lost to Davenport West 16-6
North Linn swept Ed-Co 8-3 and 16-4
Western Dubuque clipped Pleasant Valley 8-6
West Delaware split with Clear Creek-Amana, falling in game one 6-2 and winning the nightcap 8-2.
North Linn took down Ed-Co twice, 9-0 and 15-2
Cascade swept Davenport Central 10-2 and 8-4
Monticello doubled up North Cedar 8-3 and 9-1
Anamosa lost to Davenport West 6-3
Western Dubuque was edged by Cedar Rapids Kennedy 3-2 and then beat the Cougars 13-3
