The Delaware County Fair kicked off Monday in Manchester, with the parade and a free day of admission to the fairgrounds.
Bill Thomas with Farm Bureau Financial Services was riding in the parade, dressed as ZZ Top with Keith Johnson.
And Cobblestone Inn and Suites of Manchester had a float depicting one of the ZZ Top members sleeping in one of their hotel beds. Manager Kelly Niles says they’re excited to have the Delaware County Fair back this year.
And today, the carnival opens – rides are free once again this year with your paid fair admission. Admission to the fair is $12 for adults and $3 for kids ages 1 through 11.
And Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer says perhaps the best kept secret of this year’s fair is tonight’s grandstand entertainment – the Harlem Wizards.
Grandstand seating is free – or you can upgrade your seats.
Barrell Racing also takes place tonight at 6 pm at the Horse Arena. You can find out more about this week’s Delaware County Fair at delawarecofair.com.
