Hopkinton 4-H Club Auctions Off Car at Delaware County Fair’s Demo Derby

The Hopkinton Hurricanes 4-H Club auctioned off a demo car at the Delaware County Fair’s demo derby on Sunday.

Club member Adrienne Freiburger says Tad Billmeyer of TD Promotions offered the club the opportunity to use the car in the demo derby.

4-H club members painted the car, which ended up winning “Best of Show” and Delaware County 4-H alumn Kaleb Kruse of Petersburg auctioned off the car at the start of the demo. The winning bidder at $1,700 was M.R. Construction of Earlville, who gave his 15-year old granddaughter Cassidy Hack the opportunity to drive the car in the demo – and she did quite well!

The club says they’ll use the $1,700 raised to fund future service projects in the Hopkinton community.
