The number of people hospitalized in Delaware County with COVID-19 has climbed from last week.
As of September 1st, six people are currently in the hospital compared to two people the week before.
Delaware County Public Health released the latest COVID-19 numbers on Thursday. They say as of September 1st, the 7-day positivity rate for the county is 7.1%, with 33 new cases reported in the past seven days – slightly higher than the 24 new cases reported the week before.
Delaware County’s vaccine rate is 53% – the same as last week. Meanwhile, the U.S. vaccine rate was at 61% as of August 31st.
Delaware County Public Health will be holding walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics every Wednesday in September, as well as the first Wednesday in October. The clinics will run from 1 to 4 pm in the Regional Medical Center Veterans Education Center on level 3 of the hospital in Manchester.
