North Linn School District Holding Special Election

The North Linn School District is holding a special election today.

Voters are deciding on an $11.5 million bond referendum to fix up North Linn’s facilities – with the main focus on replacing the school’s heaters. Superintendent Dave Hoeger explains.

Hoeger says the bond referendum also includes replacing original windows and doors and the middle school roof and making a couple of high school restrooms ADA-compliant.

Hoeger says if North Linn voters approve, taxes will stay at their current rate.

North Linn voters will also decide today whether to renew their revenue purpose statement.

Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm today in the North Linn School District. Delaware County residents in the district vote at the Ryan City Hall, Buchanan County residents in the district vote at the Rowley Community Center and Linn and Benton County residents in the North Linn School District vote at North Linn High School in Troy Mills.
