Flu shot clinics kicked off this week around Delaware County.
Delaware County Public Health Supervisor Krystal DeShaw says while COVID is still at the forefront of our minds, getting your flu shot is important too.
Public Health is hosting flu shot clinics throughout October in nearly a dozen communities across Delaware County. The first clinics were held Sunday in Ryan, Monday in Hopkinton and Tuesday in Greeley.
Additional flu shot clinics taking place this week include:
Thursday at the Delaware County Community Center in Manchester from 11 to 1
Friday at Regional Family Health in Strawberry Point from 9 to 11 am
Flu shot clinics taking place next week include:
October 11th at Earlville United Parish from 10 to 11:30 am
October 12th at Delhi United Methodist Church from 10 to 11:30 am
October 13th at Dundee Fire Station/Community Center from 10 to 11:30 am
And flu shot clinics later this month include:
October 19th at the Colesburg Community Center from 10 to 11:30 am
October 26th at the Edgewood Community Room from 11 to 12:30
Regional Family Health is also hosting flu shot clinics in October every Tuesday and Thursday night from 5 to 7 pm and every Saturday from 8 to noon.
DeShaw says the flu shots are walk-in only this year and open to all ages. Face masks are required and you’ll be screened at the entrance. The flu shots are free with your Medicare card and covered by most insurance companies. If you have any questions, call Regional Family Health at 927-7777.
