Former Hawkeye to visit MPL

Join us for a visit from former Iowa Hawkeye Football player and author Robert Smith!
Before the world knew him as Robert Smith, he was Robert Hashaway – a young boy navigating the rough but resilient Woodland City Apartments in Dallas, Texas. Raised by a fiercely dedicated single mother, Gertrude, Robert made a quiet but unbreakable vow to himself early on: he would not end up in jail, and he would not stay poor.
Stop by the Manchester Public Library to hear Robert speak about his life and his book on Thursday, August 13th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Books will be available for purchase for $15.
