MPL: Banned Book Read-a-thon Day

The Manchester Public Library is hosting their second Banned Book Read-a-thon Day this year, and community members are invited to join in celebrating the right to read! On Monday, October 5th, beginning at 11 am and ending at 7 pm, read a banned or challenged book for 30 minutes in the library’s reserved seating near the Banned Book display upstairs. They have 16 time slots – there is space for four readers during each time slot. Bring your own book, choose one from their display, or ask for a recommendation. Registration is required to reserve your seat. You can register on the online calendar on the library’s website or call 927-3719.
