Delaware County Economic Development is kicking off their next five-year pledge campaign on Friday.
DCED, as the organization is also known, plays a key role in bringing industries and businesses to Delaware County and supporting the ones that are already here.
In addition, DCED partners with the county’s three school districts on career and job opportunities in Delaware County. And they help coordinate community events such as the annual Legislative Tour and Roundtable, Real Life Academy and the Start/Grow Your Business Classes.
And DCED Director Donna Boss says they’ve set some aggressive goals for the next five years.
The pledge campaign kicked off Friday with a grilled ribeye sandwich lunch fundraiser. It was scheduled for the Manchester Fareway parking lot, but due to the rain, it has been moved to the Quonset building at the Delaware County Fairgrounds from 11 am to 1:30 pm.
Dean Sherman, President of Delaware County Economic Development, says your pledges help DCED market the good things going on in the county.
Delaware County Economic Development will be reaching out to current investors and they’re hoping to connect with new partners too. If you’d like to provide a pledge, contact their office at 927-3325.
