EMT classes will be offered in Manchester this fall.
Delaware County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Ryan says all services in the county could use more staff.
NICC is hosting the EMT class at Regional Medical Center, with the first class on October 30th. The class will meet Mondays and Thursdays from 6 to 10 pm through March. It is a 132-hour class prepares EMT students to provide pre-hospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Students who successfully complete the class will be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT certification examination.
