Saturday, October 24, 2020

Pre-registration only

9 AM race start
South Pony Hollow Trailhead

Clayton County Conservation invites all runners to the 2nd Annual Pony Hollow Trail 15K on October 24th. This race will take you out and back on the scenic, flat, lime-chipped Pony Hollow Trail and the Elkader Exercise Trail. You will appreciate the beauty of this trail as it meanders in the trees along the Turkey River and Robert’s Creek.

For safety reasons there will be no race day registration, instead you can pre-register online at http://getmeregistered.com/PonyHollow or print off a form from our website www.claytoncountyconservation.org and mail in. A long-sleeve performance shirt is guaranteed to all those that register before October 15th. All registrations will be closed on midnight of October 22nd. Packet pickup will be at Osborne Welcome Center from 8am-4pm October 23rd or from 7:30-8:45am on race day at the Floral Hall shelter house located in the Elkader City Park. There is also parking and bathrooms located in this area for your convenience.

Race will start promptly at 9 AM at the Elkader Little League Park located a block south of the Elkader City Park, across the street from the South trailhead on the corner of South High Street and Hwy 13. No parking will be allowed at the start/finish. Please use the city park and pool parking lot.

The funds raised from this race will be used for future trail expansion efforts to join the two Pony Hollow trail heads into a continuous loop. Not a runner but still want to support this project? Donations can be accepted at Clayton County Conservation. We are also looking for volunteers to help on race day. For more information call 563-245-1516 or email mscherf@claytoncountyia.gov
