HS Baseball/Softball: Results From Monday 6-12

The Class 2A 7th-ranked Beckman Blazer Baseball team improved their record to 13-5 with a doubleheader sweep of West Delaware at Jenk Field in Dyersville. Game one was scoreless until the 5th inning when a windstorm blew in to town. The Blazers were able to score 3 runs and hung on to win 3-0. Game 2 saw West Delaware jump out in front 1-0 in the third inning. It stayed that way until the bottom of the 7th when Beckman scored 2 runs to win 2-1. The Hawks fell to 8-8 overall and will return home to host CP-U Thursday night.

In softball,

Sixth-ranked West Delaware and 8th-rated Beckman split their WaMaC conference East division doubleheader. The Hawks hung on to win the first game 3-0 while Beckman came back to take the nightcap 7-4. The Hawks are now 17-5 and Beckman 16-4.
