The second half of the high school basketball season got underway last night around the KMCH coverage area.
Our featured games of the night took place in Delhi where the Class 2A 7th-ranked North Linn Lynx beat Maquoketa Valley 45-25. Ashley Tull led the Lynx with 16 points, twin sisters; Grace and Abby Flanagan added 10 a piece. Brianna Mensen guided the Wildcats with 14 points. North Linn improved to 11-0, 5-0 in the TRC West and will host 1A top-rated Springville on Friday night. MV fell to 7-3/3-2 and host Alburnett on Friday.
West Delaware improved their record to 4-5 with a 60-37 victory over Independence on the road.
In Center Point, the Western Dubuque Bobcats 50-game regular season winning streak came to a end with a 64-52 loss to Center Point-Urbana.

On the boys side:
In Delhi, the Class 1A 2nd-ranked North Linn Lynx cruised on the road after a closer first quarter winning 76-27 over MV. The Lynx who improved to 8-0 and 5-0 were led by David Seber with 21 points, Jake Hilmer had 20 and Trevor Boge 17. Maquoketa Valley dipped to 4-5/3-2.
The Class 3A 2nd-rated West Delaware Hawks upped their mark to 8-0 with a non-conference win over Oelwein, 64-24.
