Independence Chamber Receives Donation for Visitor’s Information Kiosk Project

kiosk-chamberThe Independence Area Chamber of Commerce received an anonymous donation of just under three-thousand dollars, which will allow them to continue the Visitor’s Information Kiosk project. In early 2015, the Chamber will install the first kiosk at the Independence Junior/Senior High School, and the second kiosk will quickly follow. The Visitor’s Information Kiosk is a 24-inch LED touch-screen featuring local shopping, dining, entertainment, convenience and lodging options. Visitors can easily navigate through categories to find area establishment information such as operating hours, addresses and phone numbers. They can even scan a QR code on their smart phone to get pinpoint directions. To view an online version of the Visitor’s Information Kiosk, go to indycommerce.com.
