Kevin L. Henely, 52, of Manchester, died Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. He was born on March 16, 1962, in Spencer, Iowa, the son of Donald and Janet (Enderson) Henely. Kevin was a 1981 graduate of Sioux Valley High School in Linn Grove, Iowa. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College and Buena Vista College.
Kevin resided in Manchester for the past 25 years. He drove feed trucks for Simons and also worked at Exide and Henderson’s. In the past Kevin raced stock cars. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, fishing, and hunting. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family, and his nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart.
Survivors include his mother, Janet Henely of Sioux Rapids; two sisters, Julie Johnson, fiancé Jerry Bond, of Spencer, and Michelle and Kirt Patten of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Megan Johnson, Kaye and Adam Rickman, Brandon Patten, and Austin Patten ; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and close friends, Brian and Liz Cassman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Henely; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
