This is Fire Prevention Week. All week on KMCH, local firefighters have been sharing tips on how to safely escape your home in a fire. Manchester Fire Chief Mike Ryan says this year’s theme is “Every Second Counts: Plan Two Ways Out”.
Dave Pierschbacher of the Greeley Fire Department says there are several things you should do if your smoke alarm sounds.
And Manchester firefighter Tony Ede says it’s important that you take the time now to discuss and practice your fire escape plan with the entire family.
And local firefighters suggest that if you have infants, elderly or family members with limited mobility that you assign someone to assist them in case of a fire.
