A Delaware County COVID-19 Relief Fund has been set up to help low-income families and community organizations/efforts in Delaware County during the coronavirus pandemic. To contribute, go to dbqfoundation.org/ffdcCovidRelief. Contributions can also be dropped off at F&M Bank in Manchester, GNB Bank in Manchester, and Community Savings Bank in Manchester, Earlville, and Edgewood. Checks can be made out to FFDC, 200 East Main, Manchester, Iowa 52057. More information about local efforts to help can also be found on the Delaware County Pay It Forward Facebook page.

West Delaware and St. Mary’s – Breakfast and lunch will be available to all children under the age of 18, regardless of whether they are West Delaware students or not.
In Manchester, meals can be picked up from 7:30-9:00 and 11:00-12:30 every weekday at two locations:

* West Delaware Middle School ‐ Sidewalk Pick Up
We will also continue to have meals available at the following locations from 7:30-10:30 every weekday:
* Ryan City Hall
* Greeley Fire Station
* Dundee Fire Station
* Masonville Fire Station
Families who receive the weekend backpack program can still pick up those items on Fridays at Lambert Elementary School when they pick up their meals.
Maquoketa Valley – The school will be offering three locations for breakfast and lunch pick-up. Breakfast and lunch meals will be available Monday (for Monday and Tuesday) and Wednesday (for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) from 11:30 am – 12:15 pm at the following locations:
- MV High School
- Earlville Elementary
- Johnston Elementary
Western Dubuque – The school will be offering two locations for breakfast and lunch curbside pick-up. Breakfast (pick up for the next day) and lunch meals will be available Monday-Friday from 11:30am – 12:30 pm:
- Dyersville: James Kennedy Public Library (parking lot)
- Cascade: Cascade Elementary
Monticello Schools – Offering brown bag meals free to anyone 18 years of age and under Monday – Friday from 11 – 11:30 am at Carpenter Elementary School and at the Old Middle School.

Delaware County Rec Center – Reopening at 50% capacity on Monday, June 1st. Operating on summer hours. Be aware water fountains have been shut off and all balls, yoga mats, etc. have been removed so please bring whatever equipment you need for your workout. Camp Courageous Garage Sale – Closed through at least June 12th. Not accepting any donations until they are open.
Manchester Chamber Golf Outing – Moved to July 20th at Pin Oak.
Manchester Aquatic Center – Expected to open to the public on July 1st. Swim lessons will begin June 15th and June 22nd. Contact the City of Manchester for more information.
Delaware County Relay for Life – The traditional June 26th event will not be held. Planning to hold a drive-in concert at the Delaware County Fairgrounds on Friday, June 26th featuring Darryl, Connie and Jacque, followed by a parade. Luminary forms available in a container outside the doors of Brehme Drug in Manchester.
Delhi Days – Cancelled.
Great Jones County Fair – No concerts, vendors, carnival or activities other than the 4-H/FFA shows.
Buchanan County Fair – Grandstand and grounds entertainment cancelled.
Delhi High School Alumni Dinner – Event on July 26th has been cancelled. Plans are to hold this July 2021.
Country Cruisers – Show & Shine scheduled for June 12th in Manchester is cancelled. August 7th Show & Shine and August 8th Car Cruise still on as scheduled.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace in Delaware County – Applications are now being taken for beds at shpbeds.org.
Linn County Fair – Grandstand and grounds entertainment cancelled for 2020. 4-H/FFA shows will be held virtually. Go to thelinncountyfair.com for more information.

Independence Fourth of July – 2020 Celebrate Indee Festival and 4th of July Parade cancelled.
City of Dyersville – Memorial Building, Social Center and Library closed to public access. Basketball courts, playground equipment, toddler park and dog park closed until then too. No public gatherings of ten or more people (and private gatherings of ten or more are strongly discouraged). Check www.cityofdyersville.com for the latest information. Dyersville Chamber’s Women’s Night – Event postponed until October 7th.
City of Manchester – City Hall is open. All city playgrounds are closed. Signs are up at each playground area and caution tape at each playground entrance, swing set, etc. Parks and trails remain open.
Strawberry Days – Cancelled for June 2020.
Iowa’s Ride – Cancelled for July, including the overnight stop in Monticello.
RAGBRAI – Cancelled for July, including the overnight stop in Anamosa. This year’s route will be postponed until 2021.

Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous – The 33rd annual “Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous” car show, scheduled for May 17th, has been postponed to Sunday, September 6th on the grounds of Camp Courageous.
Ruth Suckow Memorial Library – Ruth Suckow Memorial Library in Earlville will be reopening on Monday, June 1 at their regular hours. Following are the new library safety precautions in regards to COVID-19: Only 10 people allowed in the library at a time. Get your materials and leave as soon as possible, this is not a time for social interaction. If you don’t feel well, please stay home. Use the bookdrop for ALL returns (no plastic bags). Everyone must use hand sanitizer when coming into the library. The library has sanitizer available. Computers are not available at this time. Curbside deliveries are still ongoing. Masks are encouraged but not required. As it is not feasible to disinfect the newspapers and magazines, please wash your hands after reading them. Please remember social distancing when you are in the library. This protects everyone from COVID. Also want to remind everyone to return any library materials that were checked out before the library closed on March 20. Hope to see you all soon.

Delaware County Treasurer’s Office – Closed. There is a drop box in front of the office and if the public has any questions they can call their office at 927-2845. Residents can pay their property taxes and auto renewals online at www.iowatreasurers.org or by the U.S. Postal Services. Driver’s license services shut down until further notice.
James Kennedy Public Library – Library staff will be in the library from 9 am – 7 pm Monday – Thursday and 9 am – 5 pm on Friday and Saturday. The library will not be staffed on Sundays. Staff will answer phones and provide any services they can remotely, including providing assistance in using online services.
Second Helpings – Until further notice, ready-to-heat meals can be picked up on the South Alley Drive of the Methodist Church on Mondays from 4-5:30 pm. Please do not get out of your car!
Dyersville Senior Meals – Carryout and delivery for those 60 and older. Call 875-2600.
Aurora Smelt Fry – Postponed until after Memorial Day.
Delaware, Dubuque and Jackson County RTA – Open and operating during regular business hours. You can continue to schedule your rides with RTA by calling 563-588-4592 / 1-800-839-5005, or through your Insurance Company (MCO) if applicable.

Manchester Police Department – In an effort to protect the department’s employees from illness, please call the Manchester Police Department at 563-927-3355 for assistance instead of presenting to the department lobby until further notice. Emergencies should dial 911.
