Reconstruction work on Iowa 281 in Fairbank will resume in a couple weeks.
The Iowa DOT Manchester construction office says work will start back up on March 25th, weather permitting.
Work will follow the same marked detour route that was in place last year on Buchanan County Road C-57, as well as a local detour on East Main Street, to travel around the work zone. Work is anticipated to be completed by June 1st.
Grove Street will be closed from 4th Street to the railroad crossing, which is the final stage of the total reconstruction. Asphalt pavement resurfacing will take place on West Main Street, but traffic will be maintained during this part of the project.
