Foundation Chairman Jack Klaus says the McGee Barr Grants are funded with money left to the GDCCF by Garrett McGee – they are to be used to help the poor of Delaware County. The Harlo Coon Grants are funded by GDCCF investments – these funds are to be used to help the elderly of Delaware County have a better life.

Some grant dollars are still available and several additional grant applications are under consideration for funding at this time.

The GDCCF accepts applications for these grants from non-profit organizations in October of each year and hands out the funding the following January. Other McGee funds are used for scholarships, grants to local schools and other worthy projects, as well as a Discretionary Funding Program through Community Services.
