A Dubuque County home was destroyed in a fire on Saturday morning.
The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to 15058 Circle Ridge Road north of Sherrill shortly before 6 am. Fire departments from Sherrill, Holy Cross, Asbury and Farley also responded.
The house was mostly engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived. No one was home at the time.
Damage to the home and its contents has been estimated at $500,000. The house is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but authorities say it is not considered suspicious.
