A Dunkerton man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Dubuque County on Sunday.
It happened just before noon in the area of 24998 Ridge Road. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says 58-year old Douglas Stearns lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a ditch. Holy Cross and Sherrill fire departments responded, along with the Sheriff’s Office.
Stearns was airlifted to Iowa City with serious injuries, where he later died.
The crash remains under investigation.
