Widner Drug Closing in Manchester

Widner Drug in Manchester will be closing later this month.

Owner and pharmacist Jonathan Kallenbach announced the news on Widner’s Facebook page on Thursday afternoon.

In his message, Kallenbach says effective November 2nd (Thursday), Widner Drug is winding down operations. He says the continued worsening of insurance reimbursements paired with climbing costs have made it no longer viable to continue operating.

Widner Drug will close permanently after Friday, November 17th. They will not be refilling new prescriptions after this Friday, November 3rd.

The pharmacy will be closed this Saturday. Beginning Monday, the location will be open from 11 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday for pick-ups of prescriptions already prepared.

All transfer requests can be directed to [email protected]. Widner’s will try to have files transferred to the appropriate pharmacy within 24 hours.

Kallenbach says he is deeply saddened to be closing and greatly appreciates everyone who has utilized their pharmacy services at Widner Drug over the past decades.
