Two Local Residents Begin New Terms on Keystone AEA Board

Several local residents are starting their new terms on the Keystone Area Education Agency Board of Directors.

The Keystone AEA Board is comprised of nine members who represent director districts across an eight county area of northeast Iowa.  The local school boards within those director districts cast a ballot at their November school board meetings. Two local residents were among those elected.

They include Ed Poynor of Manchester, who was elected as the director in District 8, which includes the Maquoketa Valley and West Delaware School Districts and a portion of the Western Dubuque School District.

And Sue Updegraff of West Union was re-elected for her third term as the director in District 4, which includes the North Fayette Valley, Oelwein, Starmont and West Central Community School Districts.

Poynor and Updegraff were sworn in December 18th.
