The Delaware County Dairy Promoters are inviting young people to apply to be part of their royalty team.
Princess applicants must be 16 years old by March 1st and no older than 23. Little Miss Squirt and Mr. Herdsman applicants must be in kindergarten through 2nd grade.
Candidates must be Delaware County residents who have a demonstrable connection to the dairy industry. For example, anyone whose parents or grandparents dairy farm or work on a dairy farm may apply. Other connections that qualify an applicant include being involved in showing dairy cattle, dairy youth programs, or having parents work in allied industries such as nutrition, veterinary, etc.
The board will ultimately have final discretion in establishing if an applicant has sufficient connection/interest in the industry.
Applications are due on February 2nd.
