Dundee Fire Chief Jason Groskurth says there were no injuries in Monday’s ditch fire, which spread into a field.
An estimated 140 acres burned in the fire. Groskurth says the only property damage was to wooden fence posts. He says the fire also came very close to utility pedestals.

Emergency personnel were called to the Dundee area early Monday afternoon for a ditch fire, which has spread into a field.
Delaware County Dispatch tells KMCH several fire departments from Dundee, Masonville, Manchester, Strawberry Point and Lamont have responded to the Steve Francois property on 135th Street (intersecting 120th Avenue).
No injuries have been reported. As of 2:15 pm, firefighters were still on the scene.
