An Independence woman has been identified as the victim in a Benton County crash on Friday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says 21-year old Meghan Devane died at the scene.
Authorities say Devane was traveling northbound on Highway 150 in the 5100 block near Urbana when her Jeep crossed over into the southbound lanes. She collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck.
The driver of the other vehicle, 50-year old Jeffrey Burrows of North Liberty, was injured and airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
The accident remains under investigation.
