Vance Looking Forward to New Role as West Delaware’s Next Superintendent

West Delaware’s next Superintendent is looking forward to her new role.

Jen Vance was named to the position last month. She’ll take over for Dr. Kristen Rickey, who is retiring at the end of this school year.

And Vance says the support she’s received so far from Dr. Rickey, along with the West Delaware School Board and community, is very much appreciated.

Vance is currently the assistant superintendent in the Central DeWitt Community School District, but started her career as a teacher.

She says her family is excited to see what the future holds for them in Manchester.

And a special member of her family even has a personal tie to Manchester.

Vance says her first priority when they move to Manchester this summer is to build relationships – just getting to know faces and listening to people in the community.

She’s looking forward to being part of the strong tradition of excellence West Delaware is known for.

Vance will officially begin leading the West Delaware Community School District on July 1st.
