Author and Fairbank native Betty Brandt Passick is hosting a writing contest.
Passick has been encouraging young and old to submit entries to her 2nd Annual Wapsie Writing Contest.
The idea for the writing contest is to encourage everyone – especially children – to write more and improve their skills. Passick has written four books, with her fifth book coming sometime this year. She says when she was young, she knew she wanted to write books one day – and she had encouragement to reach that goal.
And Passick knows there is talent out there – she saw it firsthand in last year’s contest.
The deadline to enter is this Friday, March 15th. Entries – open to all ages – can be submitted in MS Word format via email to bbpassick@comcast.net.
