The City of Worthington has a boil order in effect until further notice.
In a note to citizens on their Facebook page, the City says their water supply had a problem with the distribution system, with the system losing pressure on Sunday. Due to the potential for bacterial contamination, it’s recommended that the water be boiled before using for drinking or cooking or that an alternative source be used.
The City is flushing city fire hydrants today due to losing pressure in their water system. During the hydrant flushing, Worthington residents may experience discolored water or reduced water pressure – just run your taps for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
