A Hopkinton man has won a $10,000 lottery prize.
The Iowa Lottery says Douglas Knock was one number away from winning the Mega Millions $67 million jackpot on Friday, April 5th.
Players in the $2 Mega Millions choose their first five numbers from a pool of 70, and another number – called the Mega Ball – from a separate pool of 25. Knock matched four of five white balls and the Mega Ball.
He purchased his winning ticket at Morning Star Station in Worthington and claimed his prize last week at the lottery’s Cedar Rapids regional office.
