Joe’s Pizza Looking Forward to Opening New Manchester Location

A new pizza place is coming to Manchester – and they’re hoping to be open by the end of the year.

Joe’s Pizza announced last week that they’ll be opening a location downtown in the old Eagles building on North Franklin Street. Joe Steinbron and his son, Carter Schares, will own and operate the restaurant. Joe says Joe’s Pizza got its start just down the road in Buchanan County in the 1980’s.

Along with their two locations in Independence and Jesup, Joe’s Pizza had a third location in Guttenberg – which he sold to his nephew. But he says they decided they wanted to open another location.

Joe says they thought about opening a location in Cedar Falls, but they also wanted to check out Manchester – and that’s where they found the old Eagles Club up for sale. They’ll be working on renovating the building over these next few months.

Joe’s Pizza is hoping to open in November or December. They plan to hire between five to ten part-time employees from the Manchester area.

And Joe’s Pizza will be offering a menu similar to what you can find at their Independence and Jesup locations – with a large variety of pizza. Along with your traditional favorites, their current locations feature such specialities as Crab Rangoon, Garlic Chicken and Bacon Jalapeno Popper, with gluten-free pizza available too.

Joe says most of their business in Independence and Jesup is carryouts, too. They’re excited to get started in Manchester – both Joe and Carter say the response and support so far has been overwhelming.

KMCH will announce when Joe’s Pizza is ready for business in their new Manchester location – and be sure to follow along with any updates at “Joe’s Pizza Manchester” on Facebook.
