UPS Drop Box Theft Reported in Manchester

The Manchester Police Department is investigating two thefts from the UPS drop box on East Main Street.

The PD says the first theft happened last July, while the second theft happened this week. During both thefts, packages that were left on top of the drop box were stolen. Police aren’t sure how many packages were stolen, but they say no packages were taken from inside the drop box.

Police do not recommend leaving packages on top of or outside of the UPS box. If your package will not fit in the box, take it to a UPS distribution center. If the drop box is full, wait until there is room inside the drop box to leave your package.

UPS will not replace or reimburse anyone for packages outside of the locked drop box container.
