Severe Weather Potential Friday Through Sunday

Whatever your weekend plans, Iowans are being warned they’ll need to keep an eye on the weather as severe storms may be moving in.

Meteorologist Andrew Ansorge, at the National Weather Service, says the severe weather threat starts Friday.

There are more chances for severe storms on Saturday and Sunday.

We’re in the heart of severe weather season in Iowa, and Ansorge says it’s wise to have a weather radio handy or a reliable severe weather app on your phone.

Keep it tuned to KMCH this weekend – we’ll let you know of any watches and warnings and break in with live severe weather coverage as needed.
