February 1st is the first day that Manchester’s new trash and recycling pickup goes into effect.
From this point on, Kluesner Sanitation will begin picking up the entire town in one day – on Wednesdays.
Trash will be picked up every week, with recycling to be picked up every other week. Recycling on the north side of town (north of Fayette Street) will be picked up on “A Week”. Recycling on the south side of town (including both sides of Fayette Street and south of Fayette Street) will be picked up on “B Week”. This week is a “B Week”, so residents in the south portion of town will have their recycling picked up on Wednesday, February 1st, with the north portion picked up next Wednesday, February 8th.
Manchester’s collection will also now begin at 6 am instead of 7 am, so residents are asked to have their bins to the curb by that time.
