A machine shed/shop in the rural Hopkinton area was destroyed in a fire this past weekend.
The Hopkinton Fire Department released information on Thursday. Fire Chief Greg Kemp says they were dispatched to the Bill and Amy Krapfl residence around 5:15 am on Saturday. When they arrived, the building and its contents were fully engulfed in flames.
With mutual aid from the Ryan and Delhi fire departments, the fire was under control in about an hour. Crews spent over two hours at the scene.
The machine shed/shop and everything inside were a total loss, along with some young livestock.
Chief Kemp says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
